Michael earned his Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Maryland in 1990 and MBA from the George Washington University in 2001. He is bilingual in English and German. Michael joined Taplen in 2005 with twenty years of international construction management and design-build experience in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. As President, Principle-In-Charge and Health and Safety Officer, Michael coordinates all activities at Taplen and is responsible for client relations, business administration, project controls, and health and safety at all levels. Michael has served on the GCAO Board of Directors since 2007 and acted as President in 2010. He has recently been appointed to the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) as the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) representative. This appointment takes effect March 2013. The CCDC is a national joint committee responsible for the development, production and review of standard Canadian construction contracts, forms and guides for the industry.
Don has been with Taplen for over 30 years and is a licensed carpenter. He holds a Gold Seal Certificate from the Canadian Construction Association for Superintendent (General Contracting). Don’s experience ranges across a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects of all sizes and complexity that he manages with authority and organization.
Jean-Marie Gossé joined Taplen in 2006 and is bilingual in French and English. He is a licensed carpenter with over 20 years’ construction experience in the ICI sector. Jean-Marie is a gregarious and motivational individual who brings a wide range of multidiscipline hands-on duties from labourer to site supervision.
