We are members of CCA through our Ottawa Construction Association (OCA) membership. CCA is the national voice for the Canadian construction industry representing companies working in all four segments of non-residential construction: Industrial, Institutional, Commercial and Civil Engineering construction.
CDBI is the voice of design-build practitioners in Canada, promoting and enhancing the proper utilization of the design-build method of procurement and contracting.
GCAO was founded in 1971 and was granted Letters of Patent by the Government of Ontario in 1982. Its objectives include promoting fair and equitable tendering and contract administration procedures; liaising with owners, architects and consulting engineers; and promoting at all levels of government desirable legislation and regulations affecting the membership. Michael Assal has served on the GCAO Board of Directors since 2007 and acted as President in 2010.
Founded in 1950, KCA brings together businesses involved in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) construction sectors. Serving South Eastern Ontario, it seeks to achieve a closer relationship and understanding among the branches of the industry.
OGCA members are committed to excellence in every aspect of construction. OGCA members have earned their reputation of honesty and integrity by agreeing to be bound by the Contractor’s Code of Ethics. That means each member commits to cooperating with the Construction Safety Association, the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Ministry of Labour to assure a safe workplace and complete safety training for employees.
The Ottawa Chamber of Commerce is the most influential business organization in the National Capital region. The Chamber is “The Voice of Business” helping companies both large and small leading them to growth, innovation and leadership throughout its 150-year history.
Founded in 1889, OCA today is one of the largest regional construction associations in Canada and is the voice of Ottawa’s non-residential construction industry.
