The Valley Stream Retirement Residence is located in the west end of Ottawa, close to the Queensway Carleton Hospital, bounded by residential dwellings and the Greenbelt. The five storey concrete frame building has 193 units, designed for independent living, as well as offering a main dining area and other amenities. Each suite is independently heated and cooled, and three elevators provide quick service to all floors. The exterior finishes are an impressive blend of stone, stucco, and metal. Completing the picture a beautifully landscaped lot with a fountain near the front entry and walking paths on the property perimeter which is adjacent forested NCC land.
