The project commenced in September 2005 and was completed November 15, 2006. This 90,000 sqft. retirement home has provisions for an additional similar sized building on the same site. With four above grade levels and one below, Prince of Wales Manor has 139 units with a central dining and recreation area. The structure is prefabricated, light gauge steel framing panels (both walls and floors), masonry exterior, and a sloped roof. The building is serviced by two elevators. Each unit has its own individual heating and cooling capabilities.
