Construction of a new 112 unit, 80,000 SF, retirement residence with a potential expansion for 30 more units. It is a two storey, wood framed structure, with a structural concrete slab over a partial basement. The roof is peaked, and the exterior is a combination of stucco and masonry veneer. The residence provides a secure and welcoming atmosphere, with a dining room and full service kitchen, along with activity and meeting rooms. Added amenities include a chapel, library, theatre, billiards room, café bistro, beauty salon, wellness centre, and bar.
Extensive site work was done to accommodate existing easements, entrances, and waterways. The property is landscaped with a south facing sheltered courtyard with paving stones and site furnishings and lighting. There is an extensive planting list including trees, shrubs, and ground cover. A storm water retention pond lies on the east side. The building lies under a bluff which rises to the south, at the rear property line.
